E-Recover.mu

About us

Connecting people, companies and NGOs to give electronics a second life.

Reducing electronic waste in Mauritius

Erecover.mu is an innovative digital platform designed to simplify the management of electronic waste in Mauritius. It connects individuals, companies, and organizations, allowing them to list unwanted electronic items and arrange collection or reuse directly with interested parties.

Erecover.mu is dedicated to reducing waste by connecting individuals, companies, and organizations across Mauritius. We promote reuse, donation, and responsible recycling to build a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.

What we do

  • Give individuals, companies and NGOs one place to list unwanted electronics.
  • Connect donors with people and organisations who can reuse items.
  • Point broken devices towards repair shops and responsible recyclers.
  • Raise awareness about the impact of e-waste on our island.

Recognition

E-Recover.mu was a finalist project with MRIC, in collaboration with MBC Mauritius.

Who it is for

NGOs — NGOs can request donated electronic equipment to support their work and communities. They can also list unused or broken devices for recycling or disposal. The platform helps NGOs connect with donors and recyclers, reduce e-waste, and strengthen their social impact while promoting sustainability across Mauritius.

Companies — Companies can manage e-waste responsibly by listing functional equipment for resale or donation to NGOs and individuals. Non-functional items can be sent for recycling or proper disposal. This reduces environmental impact, frees up space, and supports CSR initiatives while contributing to sustainability and promoting a circular economy in Mauritius.

Individuals — Individuals can use the platform to donate or sell functional electronic items like phones and laptops. Non-functional devices can be listed for recycling or safe disposal. By connecting with buyers, NGOs, or recyclers, individuals help reduce e-waste, support reuse, and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable environment in Mauritius.
